House Washing has changed a lot over the years. Gone are the days of using high pressure to scrape away the dirt, algae and webs from a structure. And this is a really good thing!
WHY SOFT WASHING
If you think about it, engineers have spent billions on research, design and material testing to figure out how to keep water from getting in right? Then, once the structure becomes dirty or algae starts growing, the inexperienced pressure washing service or homeowner takes the 4000psi pressure washer to it. Shoving water into the cracks (or making new ones), damaging finishes and to what end? The algae was simply knocked back a bit and returns with a vengeance. Not to mention, we have all seen the job that left permanent washer lines in the paint. The algae came back because the algae was only partially removed, not entirely killed off. Algae, like moss, is a living organism. It causes shadowing on your gutters, eaves, trim and siding. Some is green, some is black. Sometimes you have the brick red colored stuff and its really tuff to get rid of. Whichever the color, high pressure is not the answer! It simply removes a few layers and at best, looks a little better for a short time.
Softwashing uses high quality soaps, chlorine and water to kill off and remove the algae completely while using pressure equal to a good nozzle on a garden hose. Softwashing has become the industry standard across the country to clean homes and buildings.
